During this workshop, attendees will learn more about tourist engagements with war-related heritage in (urban) landscapes. They will do so by looking at the Liberation Route, an international memorial route that follows the path of the Allied Forces during the end-phase of World War II, and thanatourism, or tourist activities related to death and human tragedy. The speakers will present examples and engage with the audience through discussion.
